Joseph M. Preiser concentrates his practice in representing the victims of auto crashes, falls, medical malpractice, and other complex personal injury litigation.

Joseph joined Goldberg & Goldberg Law Offices in September 2015. Most notably, Joseph was trial counsel in the case Sabanovic v. City of Chicago which resulted in a $13,800,000.00 verdict for the wrongful death of a young model that died when her car plunged off the road and into the Chicago River. In 2019, Joseph was named to the list of Illinois Rising Stars by Super Lawyer.

Prior to joining Goldberg & Goldberg, Joseph worked for 5 years in Cook County State’s Attorney’s. During that time Joseph authored and filed more than 30 appellate briefs, argued before the appellate court, and refined his skills in the courtroom prosecuting over 600 trials to verdict including 14 jury trials. In recognition of his performance and dedication the Alliance Against Intoxicated Motorists awarded Joseph with a Certificate of Recognition and Achievement.

Joseph has specialized knowledge in Illinois Traffic Law and crash investigations, particularly as they affect victims in car crashes, motorcycle crashes, and pedestrian injuries.

Joseph was raised in Oak Park and River Forest, Illinois. He currently resides in Chicago’s northern suburbs with his wife and daughter.
